IACLAM Day 2025

We are proud and excited to welcome you to the first ever World Meeting for Laboratory Animal Veterinarians on June 1, 2025 in Athens, Greece, prior to the FELASA Meeting June 2-5, 2025. During this one day meeting, a panel of globally prominent speakers will discuss topics of great importance to the laboratory animal veterinary community.  Presentations include

  • How global animal protection and legislative trends impact animal research (Patricia Turner, Canada);

  • The making of a specialist: education and training of the lab animal vet around the world (Michele Bailey, Canada);

  • The making of a specialist: The Designated Veterinarian eModule 24′ (Ngaire Denisson, UK);

  • Technical advances and data science for monitoring animal health and welfare (André Bleich, Germany);

  • Trends in anaesthesia, analgesia and euthanasia (Cholawat Pacharinsak & Patrick Sharp, USA);

  • Achieving Synergies in Veterinary and Scientific Practice in Preclinical Animal Research  (Cory Brayton, USA).

Short oral presentations on related topics will be considered.

The meeting is organized by the International Association for the Colleges of Laboratory Animal Medicine (IACLAM),the European Society of Laboratory Animal Veterinarians (ESLAV) and FELASA.

IACLAM Day will be held prior to FELASA congress on Sunday, 1 June 2025 at the congress venue. A separate registration is necessary as attendance is not included in the congress registration fee. However,  discounts of >60% on the IACLAM day registration fee will be offered to participants attending both, IACLAM Day and FELASA congress.

Registration will open in December 2024.
